I think one of the things I would say never do to a friend is mess about with your medication as a diabetic I have done this in the past ! when i was young and foolish , I am not exactly wise today but have learnt to value my health as once it is gone it is gone
I found out that if I drank a fair amount and my blood sugars were high I would not go hypo and could pretty much do what I wanted not realising the damage I was doing to myself as it is not for years later that the damage I did to myself begins to manifast it self ever so slow y
As a teenager all you want to do is fit in and be like everyone else and although I was told about the dangers of messing a bout with my medication I did not want to listen to how I would pay for this in years to come as the present is what you are bothered about as a teenager not what may happen to you in years hence
The years of youth are relatively short although no young person believes they will ever age and that they are the real peter pan I \would tell anyone that would listen dont mess about with your health just to fit in as begining to see that the mistakes I made as a youth sooner or later catch up with you and the last thing you want is a huge debt you can never pay off
it’s so true. to risk one’s health to fit in is so not worth it..
yer thanks shame we dont always realise til to late hopefully I came to my senses before to much damage occurred
I believe you 100 percent. However, I also believe you are talking to “the hand,” as I have been telling my children you are going to be old a lot longer than you will be young, take care of yourself now. They didn’t and still don’t listen. It’s one of those wisdoms that we do not get until it is too late to do a thing about it. Good point.
