I would like to think of my self as a caring person w ho takes an interest in what is happening in the so-called big bad world .
I remember vaguely the occupy movement starting off in the september of last year, and it gave me a buzz just hearing what people were up to although I must admit I have great trouble in understanding the banks situation which involves my most dreaded subject of the universe Maths which I am sure comes into the banking situation somewhere along the line .
I believe one of the slogans was 1% holds the money and makes the big decisions and hey what about the 99% ( HOPE I GOT THE MATHS PART RIGHT THEIR) I felt a sudden urge of wishing I lived in America so could join in although knew this was all a big fantasy as really don’t like travelling I blame Mr Aspergers well I have to blame something !!
The occupy movement soon spread to other countries about 20 in all which I suppose is not that many when you think about it but apparently a great effect is felt I n the world when a butterfly flaps its wings !
The occupy movement came to the Uk and again i felt like joining in but Mr aspergers does not like me to travel . I agreed with what they were doing to an extent but could not understand what they were doing outside |St Paul’s cathedral as surely a holy place can not be to blame for the mess we are in but hey think !maybe I am wrong there and Jesus getting ratty with the moneylender and other rich folk springs to mind !
I try not to get involved with things discussing money due to not understanding but i do understand the financial mess we are in affects us all and anyone of us can fall through a gap or hole and needs society to stand up and help .
It is a shame that the occupy movement no longer makes the news like it used to which is because when it started off, it was something new and exciting and after a while protesting becomes yesterdays news boring ! especially if the wrong people get involved and all they want to do is cause trouble which is the wrong picture that most protests want to portray!
The words of Jesus again spring to mind their will always be poor with us but that does not stop us trying to make the world a better place as the greatest sin of the world I think Is apathy or telling people about a situation that upsets you but then doing nothing but moan as we are all capable of doing something .
A friend told me about her granddaughter protesting in Liverpool and I told her ” you should be proud of her at least she is doing something , which Perhaps I should do instead of letting Mr aspergers stand in the way
