off to the jungle book and more

Dad  was still in  hosi  but we  had plans  already  made  which we were not  going to mess about with  caring  daughter   that i am but  do love   theatre of most  kinds  and  was looking forward to jungle  book so much although i  had a sneaky  feeling this  was  going more  towards the  correct   route  of  Rudyard  Kipling  not the   Disney sing along  version but  pretty  sure  Eva not bothered   although she   has a fetish  about   war  so when I told  the  sad story  of Rudyard’s  son Jack   dying  in first  world  war  this  was  worth a spark of interest .

The weekend  was   chinese   new year  and we were  entering  the year of dog   i had looked  up events for the New  year   and  saw  a  dragon was    coming   for  a dance round  so off we  toddled  to William BRown street  to museum (  this marked interest with  distant  relative called   william Brown . i was  bit  surprised to see not much  going on outside   so ventured in and asked   about  the  dragon  “dragon are u  sure ”  yes it cos new  year  ” umm no  few more worried brows  and  bit asking  til   it all  became clear  it was  all  down  at  the  other  one  the  museaum of  Liverpool life at the  docks  so wont   be seeing any dragons this  new year so  off we went to see  the  next best thing  dinosaurs !!

The museum is  great for  although busy   their is   room to walk around  the displays relatively easy although using the lifts  t and get  people with  various buggies and baggage  in and out  and to the  right floor  was abit of  an art form but people friendly  enough as per in Liverpool and  after   examining  various   dinosaurs and  relics of  various  creature  and not forgetting the  fave   dinosaur  poo

we  zoomed  to have dinner  at St Georges  hall  and felt really sorry for  volunteer   really  giving us   so much info and what  we   could see in the hall but  not kidding  time  was of the  essence  if we  were  going to get to the  jungle  at time although luckily only  5 mins and  still do the usual thing Look for the seat  !!! the right one which has not  got someone   else  siting in well usual story we went  one way  but   wrong  number  f  then  the other  right number f but  coats  on  our seat  Oh well move it  and did  so  but only for young  girl with  maybe her dad  coming along ” in our seat   ”  ” NO  its ours   this   continued  for while   in pretty  friendly  way and   we both  checked tickets and  with a  smile the man   apologised  as he was in wrong seat which was slightly along all happy and the two girls sat down and  with in mins   you wld  have thought they had known each other life

wow  the thought  of how to show  a  brand new  version of the  jungle book wa sa success  although slightly disappointed  no  well-known songs  but  the  new songs  were   catchy and soon had people  toe tapping   I would  not have taken kids  younger than 6/7 as  I cld  hear   younger  children crying  when shere Khan  ( nasty  tiger came on and    Balooh raised a smile with his  Welsh lilt  as  we  were all a  mixture of   the land of song

I  have  only   read the  kids  version  of jungle book but other week  picked  up the  proper    copy from a  charity  shop  and  was amazed   how big  it was   going to  take me awhile and also their  is a variety of  stories   about the   jungle obviously but   other  stories  bar  this  one   Mowgli and  being  brought  up  and  then  has to choose   were  does he   really   belong   with   wolves or  humans  ummm   think  it  can take   a lifetime  give or take  to  be  where u   belong   took  me along time to  find the   reader org  and its   various  book   grps and   learn    one  of  the  most important    lessons   not from   Rudyard   Kipling but   think  OSCAR  wilde      ummmmm  yer it is  be  yourself   for  everyone  else   is taken   so true  being something   you are not  just    makes  people   break   eventually    !!!

Eva  seemed  to like  the  play    specially cos made  a friend  due   to seating mishap but  cld tell something  bothering  her  which she confessed  that   she  did   not like the  fact  that the   tiger  was nasty as  she was born in   the year of the  tiger and  she   was nice  so  was  not right  ummm yer  but   really would  not  like to be  around a tiger and my mum  was  born   year  of snake  and  that  did  not come  over well  we  must  just  accept  people  animals  who they are   and not   tar   everyone  with same  brush  ummm  oh well  off to the  hosi  to visit  dad    which was  quite  a journey but really could  have given  it a miss  as  he  had made friends  with other people  and  was  quite happy with his   new  found  friends  seems  to  be the  day for  it  so  obviously did not stay long   not to  bad  day  and  sure  if ever   end up  in a  jungle will have the  bear necessities  to cope  ( groan )
